Description: RenMoz 2023 comes after two years of long-awaited significant changes in the renewable energy sector in Mozambique, and the publication of the complete legislation package. Description: Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER) in collaboration with the Integrated Planning and Cooperation Unit for Electrification (UIPCE), part of the National Directorate of Energy (DNE), are organizing the "First Bi-Annual Off-Grid Energy Forum" to promote sustainable energy solutions in Mozambique.

Description: Zimbabwe recognizes the importance of renewable energy, including solar energy, in meeting its energy needs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting sustainable development. The country has set specific targets to increase the share of renewable energy in its overall energy mix.

Zimbabwe's Renewable Energy Policy of 2019 aims to achieve a 16% renewable energy contribution to the total energy supply by 2025. Solar energy is a key component of this target, given the country's abundant sunlight resources. Zimbabwe had a total installed solar energy capacity of around 24 megawatts (MW).
