However with Africa still responsible for only 2-3% of global renewable capacity as well as persistent shortfalls in electricity access and reliability, the scale and pace of solar deployment require enhancement.
One of the key levers to unlocking this is the ability to wheel renewable generation from resource-rich, low population-dense regions to key energy demand centres.
