Description: With the rise of large scale solar projects in the MENA region and the increase of requirements, there is a bigger need from the suppliers to provide solid guaranty. The financial bankability is directly linked with the quality of the product however we don’t have enough track records in the region but we have some interesting case studies. For example in Africa, there is a lot of sub-quality products that are showing their weakness after less than 1 decade of use.
Finally, a lot of projects are on hold given the sanitary situation and Chinese manufacturers drastically slowed down their production with some possible negative impact on the company’s health. What would be the consequences on the market and how bankability could still be a good indicator in this context.
