Description: IFC seeks to hire the services of a firm (the Consultant) to conduct a market research on demand for alternative energy in the West Africa region, including Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. The primary objective of the market assessment to help determine the potential demand for alternative energy for supplying power to large end-consumers, including utilities, mines, industry, etc. For the purposes of this assignment, the definition of a alternative energy is the use of renewable energy (solar, small hydro, wind, etc.) and natural gas that are stand-alone power generation facilities or connected to the main grid.
