Description: The World Bank is preparing a Program with the Southern Africa Power Pool Coordination Centre (SAPP CC) to help accelerate preparation of priority regional power generation and transmission projects in the region of the Southern African Power Pool – the SAPP Program for Accelerating Regional Energy/Transformational Projects (SAPP-AREP). The Program Development Objective is “to facilitate the preparation of priority regional energy projects in the Southern African Power Pool region”. The SAPP CC is cooperating with the Regional Energy Regulators Association of Southern Africa (RERA) in implementing a portion of the SAPP-AREP that relates to RERA.
As part of this initiative, the RERA through SAPP CC intends to procure the services of a Consulting firm for the Development of the SADC Regional Grid Code for the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI).
