Description: The objective of this assignment is to provide technical analysis on the grid constraints for the integration of VRE in the Kenyas electricity system and advice on potential sustainable solar targets. The assignment has the following specific objectives:
- Identify specific upgrades in the grid to enable the integration of solar energy and to increase the flexibility in the grid;
- Analyze the actual and forecasted electricity demand and planned generation;
- Analyze the technical and commercial constraints present in the electricity system;
- Build the capacity of the Client agencies to continue and further build on the studies described in the scope of work following the completion of this assignment.
