Description: The Federal Ministry of Power has gone through series of Transformations and reforms; a significant initiative was the 2005 Electricity Power Sector Reform Act (EPSR), which laid a solid foundation for the privatization activities that has taken place in the Power Sector. This has now culminated in the emergence of Generation, Distribution and Transmission successor companies to drive the post privatization Power Generation Initiative. The reform is intended to accelerate the pace of activity in the sector in line with the EPSR Act of 2005.
