Description: The Advisor for Energy and Low Carbon Development is a regional role focused on supporting access to energy and low carbon development programming - ensuring that our programming accelerates equitable economic growth while reducing the risk of climate change and degradation of environmental resources through the access of sustainable, reliable and affordable energy.
The position will draw on Mercy Corps’ global experience working at the nexus of market systems development, climate change adaptation, access to energy, food security and nutrition, land use and natural resource management, disaster response and recovery, and governance. The Advisor will be instrumental in helping Mercy Corps define strategy and implement programming for a new climate economy that maximizes economic, social, and environmental co-benefits.
