Description: As part of their efforts to boost the achievement of SDG7 in Burundi, GOGLA, the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) and Burundi Renewable Energy Association (BUREA) will jointly organise the 2nd edition of the Burundi Renewable Energy Access Days (BREAD), on 3-5 October 2023 in Bujumbura, Burundi.
The event is supported by the European Union, the World Bank, and GET.invest Burundi, which is financed by the European Union and part of the European programme GET.invest. BREAD will be held under the patronage of the Government of Burundi, the Ministry of Hydraulics, Energy and Mines (MHEM) and the Directorate General of Energy.
The Burundi Renewable Energy Access Days is the country’s leading meeting of the energy sector:
- Assessing emerging considerations for Burundi’s Strategy on Universal Access to Electricity coupled with the climate agenda;
- Providing a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and showcasing renewable energy products and services.
