Description: Africa’s energy potential, especially renewable energy, is enormous, yet only a fraction of it is being currently employed with a total capacity of 13GW. With an installed capacity of 37GW, hydropower provides around a fifth of current capacity but not even a tenth of its total potential is being utilised. Utilities Middle East's Africa Power Summit 2021 aims to bring together key stakeholders within the utilities space including investors, government bodies and financial institutions to discuss investment opportunities within the African electric utilities sector and how to penetrate the market.
