Description: This 2 day event seeks to assist mines in alleviating the power crisis and this will require continuously growing capacity, diversifying generation and better management of water resources. It will also delve on how mines can improve planning, procurement, financial sustainability and encourage the participation by the private sector.
The summit is fully attuned to the economic and political cycles on the African mining scene in order to help mining companies prepare for the laws and policy changes on the horizon. It is designed to be a practical, business-focused analysis of recent changes and developments, and their effects on the continent’s international reputation as a mining destination, and a look forward at expected trends.There has been a wave of reform in mining legislation all over subSaharan Africa, with movement toward codes that seek to increase state participation and new tax regimes.
