APP’s mission is to gather all the stakeholders in the power sector in Africa under one umbrella for the benefit and growth of the power sector.
Our members comprise a wide variety of organisations including utilities, project developers, installers, equipment producers and service providers. Members range in size from major multinationals through to small startups, institutions and independent professionals.

The membership is divided into six categories:
- Large Corporate: Private Companies with annual turnover exceeding 100 million USD or equivalent.
- Medium Corporate: Private Companies with annual turnover between 1 Million and 100 million USD or equivalent.
- Small Corporate: Private Companies with annual turnover between 100 thousand and 1 million USD or equivalent.
- Startup: Private Companies recently launched and without financial statements or with annual turnover below 100 thousand USD or equivalent.
- Associate Institution: This consists of the public utilities, research / teaching institutions, universities, laboratories research institution as well as professional associations or federations contributing to the electrical industry in Africa.
